religion

It's a big thing in some people's lives. So much so that they dedicate their lives to what they believe is right. They form their views of the world based on what they read in the Bible, or the Torah, or whatever. (And of course this is all based on what I've personally experienced.)
But none of this holds true for me.
I come from a very religious family, but I prefer the scientific explanations of events, rather than simply trusting. Some people may say that science has strenghthened their faith, but for me it's become more of the opposite.
So the problem I've been encountering lately is: I'm being limited by my belief.
Now, I know for a fact that someone who has faith would not be limited in this situation because it was specifically stated that they wouldn't be. I really want to take part in this something but can't because I don't have the same religious beliefs. And that just really.....isn't fair. Why should I restricted just because I'm not the same?
